Laser Hair Removal

What Is Laser Hair Removal?

At Rita Medical Elite we offer permanent and effective laser hair removal treatment. Just a few simple treatments is all it takes to minimize hair growth for good.

Unlike shaving that lasts days, waxing that needs to be repeated every few weeks, or tedious electrolysis, permanent hair reduction is a lasting solution that takes away the everyday hassle of dealing with unwanted facial and body hair.

How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?

Fotona’s high-performance Nd:YAG laser systems with FRAC3® technology have introduced new standards of efficiency in providing safe and effective hair reduction – using an innovative system that effectively targets hair follicles. It works by targeting and destroying the hair cells responsible for hair growth without harming the surrounding skin. This approach is fast, simple, with each treatment complete in just minutes.

Laser Hair Removal is a non-surgical procedure that uses a pulsating beam of light to remove undesired hair. Laser Hair removal effectively targets the undesired hair with little patient discomfort. The treatment uses a laser beam to pass through the skin and into an individual hair follicle. The extreme heat of the laser beam damages the hair follicle, which prevents it from regrowing.

Laser Hair Removal Treatment Process

The average person can expect 70-80% reduction of hair growth following completion of 6-10 treatments. Treatments are scheduled 6 weeks apart. You will notice anywhere from 10-20% reduction in hair following each treatment. Dark, thick hair responds best to laser hair removal, but the Fotona Dynamis laser system is the only system designed to efficiently target blonde, light brown, and red hair.

Laser Hair Removal Results

The success of hair reduction treatments depends largely on a patient’s skin and hair type, as well as the skills and treatment insight of the practitioner. Ambre Green, PA. has more than 6 years of experience is laser hair removal.
